GOAT MILK Goat milk contains 13 per cent less lactose than cow milk. The milk-fat particles are small, making goat milk easier to digest than cow milk. Goat milk does not contain the protein b-lactoglobulin, that is responsible for many dairy allergies, and it is higher in vitamin A, calcium, potassium, and copper, than cow based products. Goat milk is often used for digestive problems.
CAROB Carob is rich in natural sugars and contains all the principle minerals and vitamins such as calcium, phosphorus, iron, potassium, silicon, magnesium, vitamins B1 and B2, niacin, some vitamin A, plus protein. The large carbohydrates act as a thickener to absorb water, thus helping to eliminate diarrhea, while the tannins bind to toxins helping to inactivate them. Dogs really love the taste of carob!
BANANA Bananas are a good source of dietary fibre, vitamin C, potassium, manganese, and vitamin B6.
BUTTERMILK Buttermilk is a good source of potassium, protein, riboflavin, calcium, and phosphorus.
CINNAMON Cinnamon is one of the world's most important spices. It has a long history of use in India and was first used medicinally in Egypt and parts of Europe, as far back as 500 BC. Traditionally, cinnamon was taken for colds, flu and digestive problems, like indigestion and diarrhea and it is still used in much the same way today. Cinnamon also helps to treat nausea and flatulence. Even the oil found in cinnamon has antifungal and antibacterial properties. In traditional Chinese Medicine, cinnamon is known as an energizing herb and is used to treat kidney conditions and asthma and the next time you or your canine companion has arthritic or rheumatic pain, think about making a compress using a diluted cinnamon tincture. Isn't it nice to know that something that tastes so good is also good for you and your canine companions. Cinnamon is the perfect complement to cranberries.
OAT FLOUR Oat flour contains an antioxidant, and has a higher proportion of fat and protein than most other grains. Oats have a high silicon content, which makes them good for bones and connective tissues. They also soothe the digestive and nervous systems. They are low in starch and high in mineral content, especially potassium and phosphorus. Oats also contain calcium, magnesium, are rich in vitamin B and a very good source of iron. They also cleanse the intestines of impurities. Oats are a strength giving cereal and are known as a nerve, blood and hair tonic. They help to build strong bones, nails and teeth.
CRANBERRY Cranberries are considered one of the world's healthiest foods. Cranberries contain vitamin C, fibre, manganese and vitamin K. They also contain D-mannose which has been recognized to have the special ability of being able to prevent harmful bacteria from sticking to the muscosal walls, without harming friendly bacteria and they also contain the substance arbutin, which is effective against certain bacteria.
CHICKEN LIVER Chicken liver is a good source of thiamin, zinc and manganese, and is a very good source of protein, vitamin A, vitamin C, riboflavin, niacin, vitamin B6, folate, vitamin B12, pantothenic acid, iron, phosphorus, copper and selenium.
GARLIC Garlic has antiseptic, antibacterial and antifungal properties. Garlic is an immune enhancer.
OREGANO Oregano contains carvacrol and thymol, which gives it fungicidal and anti-parasitic properties. It also helps to settle flatulence and it stimulates the flow of bile. It is a strong antiseptic herb.
EGG Eggs are great! They are an excellent source of fat, protein, amino acids, phosphorus, iron, zinc, potassium and vitamin A. They are also one of the best sources of vitamin D, and they help with the absorption of calcium and phosphorus.
PARSLEY Parsley is rich in iron and vitamin C, and also contains provitamin A. It also contains calcium, phosphorus, and manganese. Parsley is known as one of our most concentrated food sources.
PARMESAN CHEESE Parmesan cheese is a good source of phosphorus and a very good source of protein and calcium.
TOMATO Tomatoes have the ability to lower the risk of some kinds of cancer. The secret to the tomato's success is lycopene, which is the chemical that gives tomatoes their bright red colour. Tomatoes that have been processed by cooking, actually contain more lycopene, because cooking breaks down the cellular walls of the tomato, allowing carotenoids to be more concentrated and to make tomatoes even more beneficial, add a little fat, like cold pressed olive oil. Believe it or not, this simple trick allows the lycopene to be even better absorbed into the body. Along with lycopene, tomatoes are also an excellent source of vitamins A and C.
COCONUT Coconut is rich in digestible oils and is also an excellent source of fibre.
SUNFLOWER SEEDS Sunflower seeds are a very rich source of Vitamin E. They also contain thiamine, manganese, magnesium, copper, trylophan, selenium, phosphorus, pantothenic acid, and folate.
FLAX SEED Flax seeds support the immune, circulatory and skeletal systems. They are the best plant based source of omega 3 fatty acids. Flax seeds are a valuable source of dietary fibre, protein, calcium, and iron, and they also contain magnesium, phosphorus, copper, thiamin, and manganese.
WHOLE BROWN RICE

Stone ground whole brown rice is higher in fibre, vitamins and minerals than white rice and it is gluten free. It contains potassium, protein, iron, thiamine and niacin.
WHOLE CHICKPEA Whole chickpea is valued for its high protein content, and is gluten free. It is also very high in soluble fibre, which helps to cleanse the digestive system, lowers serum glucose and cholesterol and even helps to lower insulin requirement, in the treatment of diabetes.
GINGER Ginger is the premium anti-nausea herb and is well tolerated by dogs of all ages. More importantly, ginger acts as a digestive tonic and relieves stomach, and intestinal gas. Ginger stimulates digestive juices and helps to expel worms. It's also great in helping to treat colds and sore throats.
HEMP The word is out. Hemp is not what you think it is!!! Hemp is one of the most powerfully nutritious foods you can feed to your dogs. Although Hemp is classified as Cannabis, it is a really distant cousin to Marijuana. There is a special definition for Hemp in the market place. As a food source, hemp contains less than .03% tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which is recognized as the primary psychoactive ingredient in marijuana.
Hemp is a powerhouse of essential fatty acids. It contains Omega 3 in the form of Alpha Linolenic Acid, Omega 6 in the form of Linolenic Acid and Gamma Linoleic Acid, and Omega 9 in the form of Oleic Acid. In fact, Hemp's fatty acid profile is closer to fish oil than any other vegetable oil, including flax seed oil, and Hemp provides a healthy and environmentally friendly alternative to fish oil.
Hemp is also a valuable source of gluten free protein, is high in Vitamin C, Vitamin E, and chlorophyll, and it also has an excellent amino acid profile.
